When Maja Berce, our singer, announced her departure from the ensemble after five years of beautiful collaboration, I thought it was the right time to write a polka for us boys.
I remember the drive to Maribor; my wife was at the wheel and I composed the instrumental part on a small midi keyboard.
For the verse I used a motif that was originally intended for a waltz, and Matjaz Vlasic contributed a happy chorus.
