Fifty-five years of Avsenik's music, which became a cultural phenomenon in the Continental European cultural space, were honoured with the book entitled “Into the World with Polka - The Music Paths of the Avsenik Brothers”. Written by the publicist, Trieste radio editor and musician Aleksi Jercog, who spent many years researching the history of Avsenik's music. A publicist and cultural worker, Saša Martelanc, enriched the book by adding many memories to Avsenik's music.
This is the most recent biography of this legendary Ensemble, and it is rich in information and photographic material. It is a must-have for any folk music enthusiast, and even for researchers of Slovenian contemporary history. The book is enriched by many photographs, album covers, data, awards, and recognitions. Short abstracts in English and German are available on each page of the book.
