The authors of this composition are the Avsenik brothers - Slavko and Vilko. When my grandfather Slavko told me about the title, I asked him how he, at the age of 84, came up with the idea. His witty reply was: "For someone who is 100 years old, I am still young".
Vilko prepared an arrangement for us and from the notes it was clear that the verses were to be in a swing rhythm and the choruses in a fast polka rhythm. As we were playing a lot of parties at that time, we saw the rhythm changes as a trap for the dancers and, by agreement with Slavko and Vilko, kept the fast polka throughout the whole song.
This was our first recording in the Grabnar studio in Predoslje. Another interesting fact from the studio is that we recorded the track on click (tempo 152) - which is rare for our way of working.
